01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

A key draw at BiBi is kicking off a casual gathering around the tabletop dispensers, pouring bottomless lemon sours straight into chilled glasses. Alongside the steady flow of drinks, a lively procession of grilled cuts and hearty side dishes arrives at the table.

On the grill, signature cuts take centre stage, including the house kiwami beef tongue and melt-in-the-mouth "drinkable" premium loin. For thicker, more substantial cuts, staff members sometimes assist with grilling to ensure each piece reaches its ideal doneness. The menu also offers extensive variety to suit different appetites and tastes, featuring an extra-long beef offal strip, individual offal cuts such as shimacho (large intestine), mino (first stomach), and tsurami (cheek), as well as whole block cuts of lamb loin or beef topside sold by weight from 150 grams.

Between rounds of yakiniku, fresh sashimi-style meat preparations and small plates keep things vibrant. The freshly prepared "raw kimchi" is a widely praised starter, mild in acidity and lightly pickled enough to enjoy almost like a salad. Meltingly tender skirt steak yukhoe, BiBi yukhoe, omasum sashimi, and beef tongue sashimi share space with izakaya-style bites such as bite-sized uni-niku (beef topped with sea urchin) and meat sushi.

The dining room offers both table and counter seating in an informal, smoking-permitted setting. With hours extending until 3:00 the following morning on Fridays and Saturdays, the venue works equally well for a comprehensive set course with friends or a casual late-night drink.
